PureGym wanted to show their support for the people visiting Notting Hill carnival in their characteristically helpful and healthy way so a water stations worked perfectly.
Sourcing and printing 49 tonnes of water was fairly straightforward even with tight timescales - the challenge was the delivery. Due to security concerns and environmental restrictions, access was tightly controlled with time and access limitations. With more than 15+ tonnes of water involved, delivering to the wrong location was simply not an option.
The printed bottles were taken to London and stored as close as possible the night before. Then three electric pre- approved vehicles delivered the 49 tonnes to their allocated spaces along the route of the carnival - a roadside, a space in the park. As they weren't actual addresses, we used what3words to create a delivery point.
The PureGym hydration stations at the Notting Hill Carnival were very popular with all 49 tonnes of water consumed by the crowds taking part.
